Setting up Footstep Sounds

To create walk footstep sounds, Open up the Animation Viewer. Select your AI's walk animations using the Current Animation pulldown. Set the Event Type to Play Walk Sound. Find the frame you would like the walk footstep to happen using the timeline slider. When you are ready, press the Add Event button to create the Animation Event. This will automatically fill in the info needed for the walk footstep sound event. If you want additional footstep sounds for animations like turning, dodging, and strafing, you will need to go through your AI's animations and repeat these steps for those animations.
When you are done with applying the events to all the animations you want walk footsteps sound on, press the Apply Changes button.
Note: If your AI has separate animations for walk left and walk right, you will also need to do these steps for those animations. Footstep sounds are based on the sounds from your AI's Footstep Sounds like within the Sound Profile the AI uses.
To create run footstep sounds, Open up the Animation Viewer. Select your AI's run animations using the Current Animation pulldown. Set the Event Type to Play Run Sound. Find the frame you would like the run footstep to happen using the timeline slider. When you are ready, press the Add Event button to create the Animation Event. This will automatically fill in the info needed for the run footstep sound event.
When you are done with applying the events to all the animations you want run footsteps sound on, press the Apply Changes button.
